Matthias works for My Companion, an agency where you can hire him as a professional companion. Whether it’s a caring son, a practice partner to argue with or a +1 for an evening at the opera, he effortlessly plays any role he wants. But the better he plays into the expectations of others, the further he becomes removed from himself. Behind his carefully orchestrated life, a void grows that is increasingly difficult to ignore. An identity crisis inevitably imposes itself.

In his black comedy debut, Bernhard Wenger painfully and wittily investigates what happens when you completely conform to the wishes of others. Peacock is an absurdist, confrontational film about losing yourself in a world that constantly demands something of you.
